Kato Amiantos is encompassed by a number of churches and chapels. Only one kilometre away was the church of Agios Mamandos, where a large festival was conducted on the second of September. All the villagers attended this celebration, which was held multiple times with the involvement of metropolitans or archimandrites, and was celebrated splendidly each time.
